The ITRDC@2020 Initiative Team at the University of Kufa announced general statistics regarding the virtual free initiative, the number of participants, and the participants’ countries of origin.

The director of the center, Dr. Ammar Jallawi Karkar, stated, “The initiative started on 17-5-2020 and was opened by the teacher Nabil Saleh Ali with a week-long course on the general guide to writing a scientific paper, in which about 151 trainees participated. It concluded with a workshop for Dr. Ali from the United States on digital crimes operating systems and how criminal investigations work on them on 29-7-2020.”

“1692 trainees participated in the initiative for its various activities, which included 13 activities (two training courses and 11 workshops) by virtual and a period of 36 hours of training from 17-5-2020 to 29-7-2020”, the initiative’s coordinator, Nabil Saleh Ali, in charge of the Scientific Research Division in the center and the director of the information unit in it, said about the details and statistics of the initiative.

Mr. Saleh added: “The attendance was also distinguished by the diversity of their affiliations, so that there were participants from several countries, including Morocco, Algeria, Jordan, Turkey, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Netherlands, Britain, Jordan, and Hungary. With 37 trainees, the Kufa and its affiliates had a share of 465 trainees and 1,181 trainees were from other educational government institutions and others inside the country.”

Mr. Saleh stated that “A number of lecturers were invited to give lectures on a virtual basis on various topics related to scientific research in order to promote his culture and knowledge of his initiatives.

Finally, Mr. Saleh said, “An electronic questionnaire was launched on the Telegram channel of the initiative. 425 trainees who participated in more than 90% of the activities took the questionnaire. The questionnaire showed the following:

87% of the participants rated the initiative as very good.

11% of the participants rated the initiative as satisfactory.

83% of the participants noted the importance of the topics and the efficiency of the material presented.

15% of the participants indicated its average scientific level, as well as the topics that were raised within the initiative.”
