Information technology Research and Development Center of the University of Kufa announced the completion of the first phase of the solar energy systems installation project, which greatly contributes to providing alternative energy to the center’s servers.
The center’s director, Dr. Ammar Jallawi, said, “The center’s engineering staff was able to complete the first phase of the solar panels project for equipping the center’s communications servers.”
and “The first phase also includes the renewal of the batteries with a capacity of 800 ampere-hours and 600 ampere-hours, as well as a daily supply of no less than 35,500 watt-hours for the center’s servers.”
The University of Kufa launched many years ago the solar energy systems project as an alternative to electric energy and seeks to popularize the project to all departments of the university.
